APPLICATION FOR TRAVEL GRANTS

Graduate students who are members of GA and would like to present their scientific results during the Geneva meeting are eligible for a travel grant. The respective application form can be downloaded from the website. In addition to this form, applicants must submit the following documents for review together with their application :

 

  • Letter of recommendation from the supervisor
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Photocopy of the valid student identity card or an equivalent certification from the University
  • Abstract
  • Estimation of the travel costs

A second budget for travel grants is available for post docs from countries with reduced fees (see Application for GA Membership) (up to an age limit of 35-40 years or max. 10 years after obtaining the PhD), who have been members of GA for at least a full year and who will present their scientific results during the Geneva meeting. The respective application form can also be downloaded from the congress website. In addition to this form, applicants must submit the following documents


for review together with their application:

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Copy of the PhD diploma
  • Abstract
  • Estimation of travel costs

It must be emphasized that exclusively those applicants whose application forms and documents are complete (see above) and whose abstracts have been accepted by the Scientific Committee will be considered for a travel grant. Keep in mind that the abstract will be reviewed two times and, therefore, has to be sent to the Scientific Committee and to the GA Travel Grant Committee.

Only one travel grant per category will be granted per working group. An applicant can only obtain a travel grant once. The registration fee must be paid by the participant in any case. The number of grants is limited. The travel grant will not cover all expenses for the conference, travel and accommodation.

Awardees will be notified immediately after completion of the reviewing process.
The grants will be handed over at the meeting.
