For workshop speakers, please note the computers of the University are working on MS office 2003 under windows XP. Thus please make your presentation compatible with the 2003 version. You can use the ‘save as ‘ option of the 2007 package to do this if your presentation was prepared with MS office 2007.

This special workshop for young researchers will be organized as a pre-symposium at the University of Geneva.Registration for this workshop is necessary for all participants. The workshop is restricted to diploma and PhD students and serves as an opportunity for them to give an oral presentation and to discuss special issues, problems related to their work. The presentations (15 min) will be commented upon by experienced panellists and time for general discussion will be provided.The workshop will serve as a forum to share methodologies and knowledge of instruments, as well as means of expanding personal knowledge and to expand the own studies by acquiring ideas in a constructive and diverse environment.The best oral presentation will be selected for an award. A young researcher will also be rewarded for the most valuable involvement in the discussion.Participants who intend to give a presentation should submit an abstract electronically and should mark "Young Researchers Workshop" on the abstract submission form. Deadline for submission of abstracts is March 13, 2009. Abstracts will be published in the abstract volume of Planta Medica and automatically be presented as a poster at the congress.
